Guardian Funerals were proud to sponsor and take part in the Alzheimers Australia ‘Memory Walk and Jog – The Race Against Dementia’ on Sunday 6th May, 2012.
The event was held at Leichardt Park in Sydney. The joggers started proceedings at 8am, heading off on their 7.5km run around the beautiful Bay Run.

They were closely followed by the walkers, who followed the same route. A shorter 2km walk was also held for the numerous families and children in attendance.
This year’s Alzheimers Memory Walk and Jog saw record numbers of participants and record funds raised, a fantastic show of support for those suffering from this terrible disease.
The Guardian Funerals team took part in the 7.5km walk and managed to crawl over the finish line after an hour and a quarter. The team had a great time walking together for a very worthy cause.
