Guardian Funerals is a place for family and friends to come together when they need it most.
For nearly 100 years, we have acted as the guardians of the local community, protecting their loved ones, stories and traditions. After decades of arranging funerals, services and memorials across Sydney, we are known for providing the quality care people need to say goodbye.
Guardian Funerals has 15 funeral homes located across Sydney and in Ballina. Our local guardians work together to offer a flexible and wide range of services, inclusive of all beliefs, religions and cultures.
Our compassionate funeral directors, many of whom have been proud guardians for decades, can help you arrange a memorable funeral service to celebrate and honour your loved one’s life.
We have bilingual staff and will work closely with you during the days following their passing, providing gentle guidance when you need it most.
Going above and beyond for families is something our teams are renowned for. Alexa Heckmann recalls a special funeral service she helped arrange.
“I received a call from a young woman enquiring about funeral arrangements on behalf of her grandparents, who had unexpectedly lost their son.” she said.
“They were hearing impaired and needed her help as an interpreter. She was nervous about making the arrangements, as she had never experienced a death previously. I suggested one of our funeral attendants who had studied Auslan assist.
“The young woman felt such a sense of relief that I could arrange this for the family, giving her the space to grieve her uncle and the assurance her grandparents wishes were met. It was one of the most memorable funerals I had ever arranged.”
Guardian Funerals services are designed to give everyone the opportunity to say goodbye to their loved one with respect, dignity and compassion.
Celebrate the life of your loved one in one of our modern, state-of-the-art funeral homes, with live-streaming capabilities for those unable to be there in-person.
The Guardian Funerals team will work beside you to include special themes in the ceremony that safeguard the stories, life and memories of the person you are honouring. Whether it is a traditional, religious service or a modern, contemporary service, it’s our goal to facilitate a moment in time that’s reflective of your loved one and their tastes.
Just like people’s lives, funerals come in all shapes and sizes and we will help you arrange a memorable event, whether you wish to hold it at one of our facilities, a local church or any other destination that reflects your loved one’s wishes such as a beach, national park, golf course or family property.
We have famously arranged the funeral services of Mike Willesee (journalist), Joe Cocker (singer), and John Meillon (Crocodile Dundee actor), and even provided 33 black hearses for the repatriation of army deceased.
Our funeral directors believe in giving back to the local communities in which they work and live. We are supporters of your local social group, sporting club, school, nursing home, and church.
A funeral service is a personal and emotional journey, and we are here to help you create the dignified service you or your loved are looking for.
Guardian Funerals is available any time you need us. Contact us 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on 1300 181 300.
