Funeral services in Maroubra

You may have specific hopes for where to hold your loved one’s funeral service, or perhaps they made their wishes clear to you before they passed. Our funeral directors will honour these wishes to arrange a funeral that truly reflects what life meant to your loved one, and what they meant to you.

Your options for a funeral service include:

  • Our chapel at Boland Funerals in Maroubra
  • A local church, such as: Saint John’s Anglican Church, Holy Family Catholic Church, Christian City Church Maroubra, Hope Uniting Church, Maroubra Presbyterian Church, Our Lady of the Annunciation Catholic Church Pagewood or Wild Street Anglican Church
  • Another other destination in the local area, such as a park or private residence

Following the ceremony, your loved one can be cremated, buried or memorialised at Rookwood Memorial Gardens and Crematorium. Opened in 1925, it was the first crematorium in New South Wales. Designed by Frank Bloomfield in the Mediterranean Tuscany style, it is a place of great history, beauty and tranquillity.

Another option is the Northern Suburbs Memorial Gardens and Crematorium. Established in 1933 and designed by architect Frank Bloomfield after his study visit to Europe, the stunning crematorium has a 'Florentine' feel. It is the premier crematorium on Sydney's North Shore.
